I am awe-struck and disgusted by the Democrats who prance around Obama, throwing roses at his feet believing only he can “repair” America and that he can do no wrong to this country.
This bunch of sanctimonious and repugnant Democrats, beginning with Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Henry Waxman, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Maxine Waters, Barbara Boxer, Tom Daschel, Rahm Emanuel, et. al. are leading this country to ruin with their mindless, out-of-control and insane spending philosophies.
After driving up the federal deficit to unheard of and historical levels, I never want to hear a democrat senator or representative whine about a national defense program, such as the F-22 Raptor program, canceled July 21 2009, as being too expensive to pursue and that since a mission for it does not exist over Iraq or Afghanistan, it must be canceled.
Its cancellation has been criticized by many in the Air Force and defense contractors who largely benefited from the $65 billion F22 program. Some estimate that up to 95,000 aerospace positions will need to be eliminated with the demise of the fighter program. Proponents of the program argue that the program is less than two tenths of a percentage of the overall defense spending budget and that the cost to the economy through lost jobs will be far more expensive that the program in the end.
After telling America our lending institutions are “too big to fail”, sending billions of dollars to them and to America’s auto manufacturing companies to bail them out, I never want to hear the Democrats tell me we need health care reform and we need it yesterday.
I have watched with disgust while the Democrats tell America this health care bill – HR-3200 – is a very much needed program while rushing to pass it through the House of Representative before they themselves even have an opportunity to read it.
The health care reform bill, if passed, guarantees another 1 Trillion dollars will be added to the federal deficit over the next 10 years. That’s 100 Billion per year, folks; the Raptor program cost $65 Billion, but we are told this country cannot afford this state-of-the-art aircraft.
The Democrat Party has spent all of its credibility equity; their tank is dry. Morally, they are running on empty and they can all go to hell.

Apparently, there are “educated” people who believe this woman can “rehabilitate” the image of the United States pursuing the notion that it has taken a beating after eight years of neoconservative foreign policy, which they believe has done little more than make the United States less safe in this post-9/11 world.
This ludicrous, bumbling fool has done little to deserve the station she occupies, save for of course, being married to Bill. Aside from that, her “diplomatic” response does nothing to improve the image of the U.S. In fact, her assignment to the post is an insult to our country.

… or maybe the Dems should just take a pill… er.. poll…. uh, pill. Aw, hell.
“I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic and we should stand up and say, ‘We are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration.’ “
I’d bet Hillary never thought her comments could apply very well to these Americans who are genuinely concerned for their well-being.
This concern is born from years of observing a government with an abismal track record of running Medicare, Medicaid, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and the Postal Service, just to name a few.
Has anyone noticed these angry dissenters are not rolling over cars and torching them? Has anyone noticed the store fronts are not being vandalized? Has anyone noticed how old this group is? They’ve been around awhile. They understand how government works. They’ve had a taste of the broken Medicaid and Medicare system.
To be clear, what America is arguing about is less to do with getting a national health care plan and more to do with what’s in this ill-conceived version of a health care plan and the intrusion into our medical lives. … and deaths.
Let’s do this; let’s first get congress and federal employees off their private health care plans which are heavily subsidized by American taxpayers. They have a choice of 10 health care plans that provide access to a national network of doctors as well as several HMOs that serve each member’s home state. By contrast 85 percent of private companies offering health coverage provide their employees only one type of plan. Take it, or leave it.
Until we get congress to eat the same dog food they serve us, they will never empathize with the under-insured or those lacking insurance. They will never see the need to read the bills they pass for the rest of the country to live and die by while they enjoy their own enhanced health care package at our expense.
American tax payers spent $15-billion in 2008 to insure 8.5 million federal workers.
Then, instead of passing bills they never read, maybe we should get our elected officials to dig into the hospital system and investigate $20.00 aspirin tablets or $700.00 per day hospital bed costs.
In other words, let’s get government to clean up the crap they created, make it work as intended in the first place, learn from it, then come back and talk about incremental change which builds a sensible national health care plan Americans can live with.

Why not put down your thoughts on what you see as the perfect health care plan for yourself and the rest of the country?
I threw down a couple for starters. Go ahead, add a few of your own and I’ll update the pages with those good ones.

After some lively townhall meetings earlier this week where attending members railed against their representative or senator over the proposed health care bill, Nancy Pelosi throws out baseless accusations and rants about Nazi swatstikas being presented.
A few facts:
1. there were no Nazi swatstikas
2. Nancy’s comments are a desperate tactic to deflect attention away from the important matters.
3. The White House issued a call for everyone to report people who have an opposing view of the contents of HR-3200 if they believe the contents of the report to be “fishy”.
Really nice of our government, heh? It’s an attack on our free speech and in this case, free speech delivered by clearly livid Americans. Livid over the fact that our government is shoving down our collective throats a bill our representatives an senators won’t read.
Let’s stop for a minute and think about that. They won’t read it. They don’t have to. They have no vested interest in it. It’s because they have their own private and government provided health care. If HR-3200 or any other successor comes to be law they will still have that health care program; not the one the gave the rest of us “little people”. We should be asking ourselves why these senators and representatives won’t eat their own dog food.
Here’s some more facts. They come from the pages of HR-3200:
Pg 425 Lines 4-12 Govt mandates Advance [Death] Care Planning Consult. Think Senior Citizens end of life.
Pg 425 Lines 17-19 Govt will instruct & consult regarding living wills, durable powers of atty. Mandatory!
Pg 425 Lines 22-25, 426 Lines 1-3 Gov’t provides approved list of end of life resources, guiding you in death.
Pg 427 Lines 15-24 Govt mandates program for orders for end of life. The Gov’t has a say in how your life ends.
Pg 429 Lines 1-9 An “adv. care planning consult” will be used frequently as patients health deteriorates.
Pg 429 Lines 10-12 “adv. care consultation” may incl an ORDER for end of life plans. AN ORDER from GOV
Pg 429 Lines 13-25 – The govt will specify which Doctors can write an end of life order.
PG 430 Lines 11-15 The Govt will decide what level of treatment you will have at end of life
Let’s be certain about what those lines say. It’s hard to not understand them to say the gov’t will be involved in your death care, as they define it and as they determine when it is time. Not you. Not your family. Not your Dr. Gov’t decides and then gives the Dr. the clearance to act on the orders of the Gov’t. These orders will include living wills, how your life will end, when it ends, and may even include an order to “pull the plug”. The gov’t determines which Drs can do this.
I know for some head-in-the-sand-liberals this is hard to accept. But there it is … “right there” inside of HR-3200. …. like it, or not.
I think it’s pretty clear by what these “evil” people are saying at these town hall meetings is that they don’t want Gov’t in their life. For that belief they are attack by liberals and democrats.
America is not arguing over health care or no health care – America is arguing over content.
My girlfriend is from France and very familiar with France’s health care system and sometimes she calls America paranoid, fearful of gov’t intrusion. When I emailed those lines to her she could’nt believe it. She had this to say;
“Wow, this is Stalinism or Fascism!!!!! This plan has nothing to do with European social medicine plans. In Europe you chose your doctor, you and your doctor chose what treatment you need. All the government does is providing payment to the doctor or hospital that you visited. That is a dangerous bill. That is totallitarism at its best!!!!”
“I heard this morning on NPR that the republicans in Congress were working on another bill that would replace this bill. Lets hope they can convince the Democrats!”
From my years of observing American politics, this is the first time I have seen conservatives and democrats alike stand up and protest what our government is doing to us, not for us. Prior to this I was used to seeing liberals take to the streets. They did it in the ’60s and early ’70s. In the ’80s and ’90s the liberals arose again as PITA, Green Peace (or was that the 70s?) the G8 Summit. I saw riots, overturned and burning cars, vandalism, beatings and other acts of violence while these good Americans “voiced” their concerns. Lately they arose against our soldiers overseas, blocking supplies leaving the Port of Olympia, an act of sedition. Yet the liberals somehow have a problem with other Americans voicing their opinion – yes, it got loud at times – but at the end of the day, no body was hurt, no vandalism, no burning cars. Why? Look at their ages for one thing.
If violence is what America expects from the conservative side, then the best way to get that violence is to kill their voice. Outlaw them. Chide them. Demean and vilify them. Then, you will have violence for it will mean our government has turned against its own people. Then you might have an overturned car or two.
So while Nancy and her White House cronies try to prevent other Americans from protesting, it casts liberals as having causes and beliefs which overshadow and trump the beliefs of others. A bit hypocritical if you ask me.
The liberals have had their decades long monopoly on protesting and now its everyone else’s turn. But I suppose the liberals won’t be happy until government squashes the voices of its people.
When there’s no more dissenting voice it’s easy for me to expect government to come for the gays. After all, with all that HIV out there and all of that expensive medicine I would imagine government will be making the rounds to decide who should be labeled as “terminally ill” and just let the chips fall where they may.
This change thing is just fricking awesome.

This one is ok and accepted at face value…. a political cartoon.
While this one is not ok…. still, a political cartoon. Some have labeled this as “dangerous”.

On a somber note, I read they confirmed through DNA testing the identity of the Navy’s F-18 pilot who crashed in the Iraq desert during the early hours of the air strikes. He crashed over 20 years ago.
I heard on the radio news that ex-pres Bush offered words to his family honoring the pilot’s service and sacrifice.
I haven’t heard a word from Obama.
I guess the pilot hadn’t had enough adversity thrown at him during his life to make it worthy of Obama’s time.
Maybe today we’ll hear a few words. Maybe the Obamanation will sit down with the family and have a beer with his family in the White House gardens. Maybe?
